Mozilla Europe, MozCamps and more…
about:mozilla is a weekly round-up of news and contribution opportunities. Here’s what’s happening this week.
Mozilla Europe
Mozilla Europe will be folded under the umbrella of the broader Mozilla organization so that ideas incubated in Europe can now be more easily rolled out on a global scale. We’re also expanding our presence in Europe by opening more Mozilla Spaces early next year! Please discuss and provide feedback on mozilla.governance.
MozCamps: Many voices, one Mozilla

We’ve just wrapped up two inspiring MozCamps in Asia and Europe which brought together close to 500 Mozillians. Ludovic Hirlimann gives a very nice personal account of his time at MozCamp Europe in Berlin, Germany. Check out the community collages that were presented in Asia and Europe. BrowserID on Mozilla Websites
Over the next few months, we’ll be rolling out BrowserID on Mozilla Websites. When we do, we’ll point users to this blog post to explain what BrowserID is and why we think this is good for users. If you would like to find out more about BrowserID watch the video posted by Ben Adida on the WebFWD blog. If you have any questions please join our mailing list or just tweet with the hashtag #browserid.
Native UI for Firefox
Android users on the Firefox Nightly channel will soon get an update offer to switch over to the Native UI. If you come across bugs in this new version of Firefox, please file a bug and if you are interested in helping us test the new nightly; please download the latest release, and hop on IRC to provide any feedback. For more background information about the new changes to Firefox please read Mark Finkle’s blog post.
