“* Add-on must be hosted on addons.mozilla.org and reviewed by Mozilla (“public” status) ”

What if it’s in the review queue (as of January 7, 2011), but not yet approved?

    1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

Only public add-ons are eligible. Make sure to nominate your add-on early so it will be reviewed in time!

    A few questions:
    1. Whether all countries are supported?
    2. Will be informed about sending / failure?
    3. Value. What to pay and the estimated cost.
    4. Terms.
    Thank you.

    1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

All countries are supported. The shirt is free, so you don’t have to pay anything.

How come some addons get reviewed within a day and others are staying in sandbox for a week and they still remain there? Can I see an image of the shirt somewhere?

  5. Alfred Kayser wrote on

And how about reviews of existing addons, like my themes (that are public now for almost 6 years)? It can still take sometimes over 2 weeks to review a theme update.

    1. Jivko wrote on

It’s a bit strange. It depends who is reviewing you add-on.Yesterday and uploaded Purple Fox and it got reviewed later that night.Same goes for Bloody Red.Uploaded it 2 days ago and got reviewed last night.
Uploaded Blue and Orange Fox a week ago and I made it compatible with beta 8 but it’s still in sandbox.I even had time to fix few things and upload another version compatible with Firefox 4.0.* Theme’s still not reviewed though.Once I was waiting a month for the editors to review my add-on.

It would help in porting our add-ons to Firefox 4 if the documentation on the new add-on bar actually existed.

This is kind of a big hole.

Sorry about my English.I’m a bit sleepy and unfortunately there’s no edit option. 🙁

    Hello,

    I have three add-ons. Can I have 3 T-shirt if apply or only 1?

    1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

      One shirt per developer.

      1. BrunoLM7 wrote on

Will our addon name be on the tshirt? I’ve submitted two, but I want it for Orkut Manager!

        1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

No, the shirts aren’t customized with add-on names.

  9. BrunoLM7 wrote on

I’ve submitted two requests, one for Orkut Manager and one for OneManga Manager. If there will be something written, make it for Orkut Manager! Disregard the OneManga M. request!

(I’ve emailed tshirt@moz about this as well)

I was worried about time, but both got approved already, sorry for the trouble and

    Thank you! 🙂

It’s kinda sad that my addon is regularly updated, working great and getting great reviews but that’s not enough because it’s not public. And why is it not public? Because there is already another addon that does the same thing except it’s not updated for some time now and contains even less features.

All countries are supported. We won’t be sending confirmation emails but if you have a question, you can email tshirt@mozilla.org and we’ll let you know if you qualified.

Is there an estimated date of delivery, or a status update on this? (I can understand that it must take a while (and lots of work), especially with all the people that have probably submitted, but I was just wondering how far you guys were getting.)

    1. Bobby wrote on

Yes, I was beginning to wonder as well. Any idea on how far along you are? (I’m not trying to be mean, and I don’t think Jake was either, but I would like an estimated date (something like “about 1 week” or “about 2 months” – just so I know when to not plan my vacations.)

  13. Jivko wrote on

It’s been almost a month and I still have not got my shirt.I think that mozilla lied to us.They could have give more info about when are we suppose to receive our shirts. At least all the effort I’ve put on updating my add-on won’t be wasted. 🙂

    1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

The submission deadline was only 2 weeks ago and we have hundreds of shirts to send out in between releasing Firefox 4. Please be patient.

  14. Jivko wrote on

Thanks for the quick reply.Honestly I don’t know how many add-ons are compatible with Firefox 4.
One more thing.I saw a post on one site that Mozilla wants people who are good with editing images to make the new Firefox 4 t-shirt.Are we going to get something like this http://www.firefoxfacts.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/2545_lg.jpg or it’s a shirt with the Firefox icon.I doesn’t really matter to me but I’m curious and I guess there’s nothing wrong with that. 🙂

Who can I contact if I didn’t receive my shirt yet?

    1. Justin Scott (fligtar) wrote on

You should receive your shirt in the next 2 weeks if you were eligible.

Were Jetpack addons eligible for receiving a free t-shirt? As I submitted one of my Jetpack addons and have yet to receive shirt.

  18. Jake wrote on

I am also still waiting for a t-shirt. If I did not get it by now, does this mean my add-on wasn’t eligible? I made sure that the latest version (which had full FF4 support) was public on AMO before submitting, and I only live in Pennsylvania (United States), so I don’t think shipping should take too long.

Just write them an e-mail and ask whether you passed.
Worked perfectly fine for me (got an answer 2 days later)

Just got my shirt yesterday. Thanks Mozilla! You guys rock!

    1. Jivko wrote on

You’re lucky.I emailed to mozilla and there’s still no answer but I guess I have to wait a bit more for my shirt. It would be awesome if I get it on my birthday which is next week. 🙂

      1. chris wrote on

I’ve mailed Mozilla end of February and received an answer two days later. The shirt that was announced in this mail arrived today (from the US to Europe).
        Everything’s fine, thank you Mozilla!

I received weeks ago in Hungary, but I wasn’t able to check it until now, I wasn’t at home. Now I know that the t-shirt looks awesome but I asked one size larger than it should have. 🙂
