Resumiendo un poco las novedades y mejoras podemos decir que lo más importante es la mejora en el rendimiento, aunque hay otros cambios importantes. La interfaz de usuario sigue mejorando para adaptarse a Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X y Linux. Tambien encontramos que hay mejoras en el Administrador de Descargas, como un buscador incorporado. Así mismo el soporte para Javascript y HTML 5 también se ven mejorados, junto con el funcionamiento offline de las aplicaciones web.
