i agree with Larry fire is always more fun...but no matter what we say we'll have to admit shredders have become a need for us now. we hate the clutter, hate the jammed noise, hate the cleaning up, yet we HAVE to do all of it!

Why not use fire? I've had so many problems with shredders, but the fireplace never fails.

Just to be clear: I was talking about my personal shredder (at home). Mozilla, like every company I've worked for, has one of these drop boxes for documents to be destroyed by a outside service:

<a href="http://people.mozilla.com/~dolske/blogimg/shredcontainer.jpg" rel="nofollow">(image linked because WordPress is retarded)</a>

I've only used it to dispose of resumes for people we interview; I presume standard HR and business waste ends up there too. I once thought about dropping in my personal stuff (instead of buying a shredder), but figured it was more likely that someone would be snooping through a business's waste than my apartment's dumpster. :-)

So, what secret business is Mozilla.com conducting, that it needs to be protected so badly? :)
