@Michael Gibson - When you installed Firefox 3, you allowed it to become your default web browser. Any .htm/.html file would now be opened by Firefox by default. It is normal for default applications to associate file extensions with the application. That is what has happened here. If you change your default browser back to Internet Explorer, the Firefox logo and "Firefox Document" file type will change back to the previous settings.

Please note, nothing was overwrote or hijacked. If you look at 'File Explorer' you will see many such logos and descriptions for other file types on your system.

Hello,

I use Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Expression Web and Adobe Indesign for web design and editing. Upon loading Firefox 3, Firefox took over control of my computer and overwrote all my .htm/.html files in File Explorer, Dreamweaver, etc with the Firefox logo and the words 'Firefox Document' instead of .htm or .html as a file type.

This is piracy and hijacking of my computer's operating system. I would like to see Mozilla offer a formal apology to everyone and include an update immediately that removes this trojan virus from within the program. It is unconscionable and extremely egregious, and if Mozilla does not address it immediately I see a class-action lawsuit coming and incredible negative publicity.

Sincerely,
Michael Gibson
