It’s long overdue, but after a couple of years of running the Mozilla Campus Reps program, we finally have an official logo! I’m excited to have an identity for our campus efforts and the logo is the first step in making the program and our reps more visible in the greater Mozilla community… and the world.
The logo, which I am dubbing “the shield”, was the first phase of a project I’m working on with Nobox. We’re currently creating a fresh new design for the online Campus Reps Guide, which we also plan to offer in print for our Back to School campaign (Fall ’09).
With an image our reps can now call their own… I can’t wait to see what we do with it. I’m already thinking about posters, t-shirts, and even business cards for our top reps! 
UPDATE: Thanks for all the wonderful comments, and also the honest opinions. It looks like there is a lot of interest in creating buttons/badges, t-shirts, cards, etc… so just wanted to let everyone know that I will draft up some guidelines and let you know soon how we can all use the logo for our projects. I appreciate your enthusiasm and patience while I sort all that out.

I would love to wear around a T-Shirt with this logo.
One suggestion, you can prepare badges with this logo. We can wear those badges on our shirts and bags. That will definitely attract more attention.
There are two things which catches everyone’s eye:
1. T-Shirts
2. Bags.
If the Campus Reps are given these and they wear it around on the campus, I am sure we can get lot more publicity than we are getting right now.
Okay now THAT is a logo! Is there any way that I can get an svg version of that image? It would help me out when adding it to certain works that I do for Mozilla as a community volunteer.

The logo is really good!
I was thinking about using the logo to make some t-shirts to promote the campus reps here in Brasil at FISL.
FISL will be an event that’s going to join a lot of student of different universities.
The other thing is use the logo on every blog who represent the campus reps somehow.
Is that a problem to use it?

jay this is marvellous ,finally after a long wait an official firefox logo. wonderful it helps us promote mozilla in an effective manner well i dont think any modifications are necessary cause it is perfect three cheers for mozilla and lets rock on with our new logo and THREE CHERRS FOR MOZILLA!!!…..
