update for the planet site
May 29th, 2007 by AsaWe’re getting ready to move to a new version of the software that makes Planet Mozilla happen. You can see (and help us test) the new version at http://planet.mozilla.org/venus/. If you see anything that looks wrong, please let us know in the comments. Thanks.

I was just thinking that I should file a bug report or something about the lack of a link to the existing atom feed. I went to see if such a bug already existed, and what do I find but a plan to upgrade to Venus! Then I went to the test site mentioned and there is a post about the move. Amazing timing. Also, I see that there is an atom link, so all is well.

Yay! Running current software is always a good thing. And I’m glad to hear that it’s updating more frequently.

Since midnight on 31/05 all the posts have been coming through with a sender of “Planet Mozilla”. Previously (with a couple of exceptions, see http://blog.mozilla.com/planet/2007/05/13/planet-addition-john-lilly/#comments ) the sender was the blog author so I’ve set up loads of filters based on this. Can we get that behavious back please (after all, p.m.o is only really a middle man)?
