If a chalazion isn't treated early it can turn into scar tissue and leave a bump and if it does nothing will remove it besides either time or surgery. I've had one that had turned into scar tissue that was affecting my vision so I opted to have it surgically removed. A month ago I thought eyelids were sheets of skin ending in eyelashes, who knew they're packed with Meibomian glands, Zeis glands, glands of Moll, and "90 different proteins have been identified in meibomian gland secretions". So much bioengineering encoded in only 3 billion base pairs and only 23,000 protein-coding genes, it's ridiculously mindblowing. Good luck at the Dr. Aiyee! Even before the release it was showing a reduction from approximately 160 in every 2000 to 1 in every 2000 of crashes so that is definitely a major improvement.
