One of the great things that the Mozilla JP office is currently planning is the the Mozilla 24 conference. The idea is in development, but it would be excellent to get our global community to help with the execution.
For now, the conference is happening in Japan, but the idea is more global. Essentially, the idea is to hold a 24 hour conference that kicks off in Tokyo. As business day progresses around the world, each of our communities will be able to come online and contribute to the conference. Mozilla 24 will take a lot of logistical coordination and we’ll need to find people in each of our locales across the globe to help contribute. If you’re interested in learning more about the planning, contributing to the proposed tracks, or just have some general questions, please email me and I will make sure to put you in touch with Gen or Kaori.
(Have been having some trouble uploading to Flickr…pictures from yesterday and the Gumi are forthcoming.)

Shame that for an event that’s planned to be for the global community the page only appears to be available in japanese - though maybe it’s just because its early days in the planning process?
It will come in time. In fact, it is because it is in the early stages of planning and Japan is the creator of the event. It will happen in Japan, but for it to happen globally will need a lot of coordination. Can anyone offer to help translate to English?
Please tell me Jack Bauer isn’t coming.
Gen will star as Jack Bauer.
Hey Seth, I was one ofthe interpreter at Mozilla Party JP 8.0.
I’ll be more than happy to help with the translation of the Mozilla 24 page. However, I am not sure if anyone is working on it at Mozilla Japan so I don’t want to butt in too much.
There will be a meeting taking place at school tomorrow and I heard someone from Mozilla Japan will be there (Takita san?) so I’ll ask about it there.
Thanks for the great presentation last Saturday!
yes, English pages will come late may when we have global official launch. Anybody who wants to join this project will be appreciated….
Anyone interested in helping Gen, Kaori, & Mozilla-JP spread this conference globally, please contact me. Thanks, Satoshi, for offering to help! We’ll likely need as much help as we can get.
Hi Seth. I’m a college student in Texas and I’d like to at least promote the event in some way. I have a friend in Japan who is helping with the planning and I’d like to do something to help out.
