Hi,
I cudnt help pointing out that there is no Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay. And yes the net penetration stats are dismal in percentage terms but somewhat acceptable in absolute numbers. And the firefox penetration is very minimal, restricted only to academic campuses( and that too very selected). One good news though as in a personal insight I can give as a student at the Indian Institute Of Technology at Kanpur, is that almost nobody uses IE here and firefox penetration is 100%. a few occasionaly use safari, simply because of its super fast rendering.(that is an area of improvement, eh ff?)

We had a team of students help us research the Web penetration in India. They found that 2% of the Indian population has access to the Web.

Regarding Firefox penetration...not my focus, but I can try to find out.

I'm curious what are the Firefox penetration stats numbers in the Indian market? How many Internet users are there in the second most populated country? Just curious.
