Localization team directory

August 21st, 2008 by seth bindernagel

Ever wonder who and where our volunteer localization teams are across the globe?

Take a look.

This is a list of localizations in our Mozilla ecosystem, with contributors and who “owns” what on each of the teams.  I spent some time yesterday updating this page (same as above) yesterday.

If you are a localizer, feel free to take a look and make edits where necessary.  We should make sure this is as up-to-date as possible, so if you think there should be a change, please do so.

This post is meant mainly for localizers, so I will cross-post it on the dev-l10n mailing list.  But, I thought I would share it with Planet Mozilla.

    Hi Seth,

The Macedonian page is at L10n:Teams:mk-MK

How can I move it to just L10n:Teams:mk ?

  2. We’ve put up a wiki for Germanic contributors as well:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Contributors/Germany_Austria_Switzerland

Should there be a directory for Mozilla contributors in general?

  3. @ novica: I think the original wiki page was created with an mk-MK ending. So, I just created this:

    https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:mk

and copied all the other information in it.

@Aaron: great idea. We should try to create a public directory of our community for all to see. How do we do that? On a wiki? Or something more dynamic, like an open CRM tool?

  4. did you add the category tag to all the team pages? I can’t remember we had so many teams!

  5. @ Armen: Yes, I added the following tag to the pages I created:

    [[category:L10n Teams|COUNTRY CODE HERE]]

  6. Hi Seth,
I did the same of “mk” for the Italian page (from “it-IT” to “it”).

All seems to work fine (both IT and l10n-team page), what should I do with the old page? https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:it-IT

  7. Thank you, Francesco. Others are welcome to do the same. This page will become our main contact page.
