It is unfortunate that it is covered by patents and seemingly not available under a Free license. I think the javascript version could be very useful for sites specifically geared towards content creation in certain languages, such as Wikipedia. I would have liked to incorporate it into <a href="http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/index" rel="nofollow">Pootle</a> as well. It looks very nice.
