The Poll Results Are In, and the Winner Is…

…the Firefox plush toy! (by a fairly overwhelming margin, I might add)

We’ve already placed a big order with the vendor that makes these stuffed animals. However, it turns out that they’re currently out of stock, so we have to wait until a new batch is made before we can add them to the Store. Their best estimate is that they’ll be ready in January. We were certainly hoping to make them available sooner, but better late than never.

Thanks very much to everyone who voted in the poll. One of our big goals when we relaunched the Store back in August was to increase community involvement, so it’s nice to have a project like this where you choose the merchandise. Here’s the complete breakdown of the results:
* Firefox plush toy: 43%
* Firefox coffee mug: 23%
* Mozilla dino head t-shirt: 16%
* Firefox bike jersey: 13%
* Firefox baby onesie: 5%

If your favorite didn’t win, don’t worry…we’re hoping to add a few more of these items in the coming months. And if you have suggestions for other new Store products, please add your thoughts here.

Got an Idea for a New Mozilla Store Product?

One of our priorities for the Mozilla Store is to introduce new products from time to time in order to keep things fresh and interesting. And since the whole point of the Store is to offer things that you guys want, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what we should add in the future.

So, if you’ve got any ideas, add a comment and let us know!

Community Spotlight: October

Each month we share the story of Mozilla community member and how they’re using their Mozilla gear (and they get a $50 gift certificate for their trouble). The October edition of the Community Spotlight features Travis, a Special Forces soldier (and Mozilla fan) stationed in Iraq:

“Being a Special Forces Communications team member it is my duty to ensure that all of our systems are up and running. One of them being team members’ computers. Most have been using the “other guys” web browsers and it is up to me that they use the safest browser for operation security. Well I have been a huge fan of Firefox and ensured the safety of everyone’s computers if they used Firefox to an extent. After installing it on their computers the guys agree that they enjoy using Firefox and are impressed with the security they get with it. They particularly enjoy being able to change the layout to what ever theme they want. Small potatoes in my book but it’s small things like that here in Iraq that can improve morale. It will always be my pleasure to tell everyone about Firefox and I will always be a faithful user. Keep up the good work and God bless.
SSG Travis”
