Got an Idea for a New Mozilla Store Product?

One of our priorities for the Mozilla Store is to introduce new products from time to time in order to keep things fresh and interesting. And since the whole point of the Store is to offer things that you guys want, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what we should add in the future.

So, if you’ve got any ideas, add a comment and let us know!

    Good idea.

Here are some idea’s that i have: keyhanger, tedybeer (in form off fox ofcourse), school merchandise (like pens, writing books, wrapping paper), stuff for a bed, drinking stuff (cups), latop bags, merchandise for in a car.

  3. Castellan Says:

How about 256MB USB keys with the Firefox, Thunderbird logo? Just big enough to load a carry-with-you portable instance of Firefox…

    Props to you all!

  4. Aline Says:

this might be just me, but every time i see the awesome, iconic firefox logo, all i want to do it cuddle it, because firefox makes me feel good. so, why not make a stuffed toy? a real, round globe, with maybe an attachable fox. i know that it’s probably already made somewhere, but hey, it’s the first thing that comes to mind. there are times that firefox is so wonderful you just want to give it a big hug, admit it.

Start sending stuff to aussieland mate!! I checked out your store and wanted to purchase the black hoodie but guess wot, Australia is not an option in the drop down!!

Could you please lemme know when Australia would be an option so that i can purchase to my heart’s content!

  6. Alaric Qin Says:

    Hey guys,
I think that you should have a Mozilla brand notebook pack (like those from Targus). It would really provide a stylish accent (at home and at the office) and would get the message across very clearly. Thanks for reading!

  7. Michael Says:

    I have a suggestion!

    A Mozilla OS.

    That is all.

  8. Ina Says:

I’d like to see the sketchy Firefox logo drawing (the one on the Store header) on a t-shirt, a ladies T-Shirt!! Ladies love Firefox too and need more ways to show it ;)

  9. Walter Says:

    A suggestion, sell a 17″ laptop backpack that will actually hold a 17″ laptop… very disappointed :(

  10. Amanda Says:

Why the hell is it so difficult to place an order! Now I am fustrated and no longer with to place an order!
I am not required to entre a state, if residing in Canada, Correct?!!

[...] If your favorite didn’t win, don’t worry…we’re hoping to add a few more of these items in the coming months. And if you have suggestions for other new Store products, please add your thoughts here. [...]

  12. Jimmie Lynne Says:

    How about women’s tank tops?

Some little decals. . . like the ones that the store puts on your computer that say “Intel Inside” . . .

Car accessories like license plate holders, bumper stickers, air fresheners, or steering wheel covers. . . probably wouldn’t be best sellers :) . . .

someone mentioned school supplies. . . I think that’s a really neat idea. I would TOTALLY buy notebooks and pens with the Firefox logo on them. . .

    a sport’s bottle would be neat too. . .

  13. Jim Says:

    White T-shirts.

  14. anakin Says:

so many t-shirts, but no shorts with “foxy” on them. you know the kind i’m talkin about. sexayyy

    ahem. folders, book covers/socks

i like the mousepad, especially the circlular design. i would get one but i need a large one approx 10 in – 1 ft in diameter and i don’t know how that would perform with an optical mouse at high speed. i usually use monochrome sheets of vellum-type material because otherwise changes in color makes the cursor jump when you’re playing over 150 actions per minute

  15. Jon Pritchard Says:

Are these going to be available in the International Store too?

  16. Krakrahuete Says:

    1- Firefox plush toy

2- Mozilla dino head T-Shirt (for Phoenix/Firebird fans)

    3- GECKO T-Shirt (for Web-Developers)

    4- Firefox coffee mug

    5- many cools FOXKEH T-shirts

    6- A new Firefox/FoxKeh Baby Bib

That would be very exciting !!!!

  17. Jim Says:

How about a black mouse pad with the Firefox logo?
Every one could see it at the office…

  18. MJ Says:

If you guys want exposure, it’s a Mozilla car magnet. All the best ideas are on car magnets. Do a round one.

  19. neil Says:

Bigger shirts.. im sorry nim a big guy and i wanna wear the shirts :(

  20. Majken Says:

lower cut girls’ tees please! A proper scoop neck would be nice, but something that isn’t right against the neck, I literally feel like I’m choking in the styles you’ve got now :(

  21. Linda Says:

I think that the FIREFOX logo (no words please) would look great on a cuddly blanket or bed throw…perhaps even some pillows to match!

  22. Robintel Says:

:D A coffee cup with the Mozilla logo and a “Designed for Firefox” text or something. I’d have a black one with your nice logo. That would be a goooood morning! Shirts (not just t-shirts) would also be nice!
Or a set: cups + ashtray + tray! Now that would be a great present, or an “always on desktop” feature for me! :D

  23. gene Says:

I vote for a Coffee Mug.

And I really like the Fox Plush Toy.

  24. Cameron Says:

Well i have a few ideas. What about one of those antenna balls, with the Firefox logo? Perhaps a PSP or DS Skin, to appeal to the gaming community. And maybe, a Firefly Firefox Jump drive, for your key ring? It could even Come Pre-installed with Firefox and Mozilla Portable. Just a few thoughts.

  25. Cameron Says:

One other Idea. Maybe Firefox could release a version of the browser for a PSP, DS, Wii, ect. Opera’s browsers can be a major pain to operate, and having Firefox on portable devices and In home gaming systems such as the Wii, would really be useful.

  26. Shane Says:

How about a basket ball? Or soccer ball… I don’t play, but i would if i had a Firefox ball to shoot some hoops.

  27. Brent Says:

I was thinking more stickers and more bumper stickers would be cool. Another idea is a firefox license plate frame.

  28. jim howell Says:

I think someone should throw rocks at micro soft internet explorer…………I just found Firefox it is great!

  29. A cat owner Says:

You do not need new products… you need to offer more color options on the shirts you already have! I have a pet cat and I cannot buy most of your t-shirts since they are dark colored. Please offer more white t-shirts!

  30. WD Rothwell Says:

Someone already beat me to the punch, but as an I.T. Person, I would LOVE to have a portable USB drive bearing the logo for my keyring. The higher the storage space the better. I think the item would be a great seller as I have seen USB’s in the shape of pizza to Sponge Bob Square Pants and everyone who sees them always asks where did you get it, how much, et cetera and the next week or so you see them sporting the devices.

  31. stephen Says:

    cycling jerseys…. I’M IN!!!!

  32. Laeris Says:

Could you add more women’s versions of the shirts available in men’s sizes? Two shirts for women is pretty stingy.

  33. John Says:

Well, I wish you’d leave the text off the back of those t-shirts. The text there takes the tees from being nice to nerdy.

And the graphic on the front should be either bigger or over the right breast.

But here is a better suggestion: everybody loves the logo (admit it, it is a huge reason why FireFox took off compared to Mozilla or Opera) so why not design a set of multisized HIGH quality stickers/flexible magnets/patches/transfers to sell: such that they can be used to label a usb drive, sew on a purse, customize a pc/stick a note on the fridge…

Hey guys, you are SW people! Make the logo modular so people can put it were they want & I bet they’ll fly off the shelfs faster than China can make them. This is so obvious I should demand a cut for having to point it out to you.

  34. fflovahlikeyou Says:

I would love to have a ball that was the FF logo to put in my mice at home and work. Using a marble mouse. Matches the logo shape. Or they could release their own entire mouse.

A mini notebook that is stylish with a plastic cover could be nice too that I could store pw in for all the websites and forums I visit. One small enough to fit in a personal organizer.

The round logo could fit on coasters for office conference tables.

You could distribute vinyl stickers for offices that say “We use Firefox” that they can display on their doors. Our network admin has made sure everyone uses it more than IE so may as well advertise that it’s made it into the professional world.

A deck of cards with various pop culture website tidbits could be fun. The logo mirrored on the back so that OCD type folks don’t have to keep resorting them on a shuffle if half are upside down because the logo has a defined top and bottom.

And yes, stickers are good because you can plop them on anything. I especially like the ones that nvidia uses on computers. You know the puffy look like there is acrylic on top instead of just paper but when you touch it – it’s rubbery. Easy to clean and they look nice.

  35. Kelly Kolisnik Says:

How about Mozilla Hardware? Keyboards, Mouses, Gamer-Keyboards.

I want to see some more Bumper Stickers too.
And if you got some kick ass sunglasses
or a laserpointer/light that sticks on the back of your cellphone

  36. Ybom Says:

    1. I think stickers work really well for quite a bit of things, but all you have are the medium sized ones. How about sheets of the tiny ones? Better yet – holographic, textured, glowinthedark, and neon ones as well.

    2. More art. For example I want to see “Sexy Firefox” on a t shirt or at least a sticker. I’m sure there’s thousands of examples of fan art that can be found via google.

    3. On the fan art note, how about a contest of sorts. Every month/week/whatever the mozilla team choses a piece of fan art. The “winner” gets to choose what to put that artwork on, like a shirt or mug and you put it in your store.

    4. I want a mozilla mobile for my daughter. 4 plushies with strings out their back to connect to a baby mobile.

    5. The firefox logo is circular. How about a frisbee, or even a set of dishes? Heck you could even have silverware and glasses for that matter if you design them properly, but that’s probably a bit too much :S

    6. I wouldn’t mind seeing mozilla themed computer cases in the store.

  37. A kid Says:

I agree, the words on the back of the shirts……not so great. Also, a few kid t shirts would be sweet. I use Firefox too, not just adults. I like the plush, school supplies, and bed covers aren’t bad.

  38. LaceyBob Says:

I think this is more of a product extension, but might be good for sales. I’m very tall and rarely (almost never) can find a clothing article from organizations that fits. Why not feature larger and taller? I’m very tall and skinny, so L-Tall would be good for me.

From other comments going for XXXL (I see you’ve already added XXL) plus some Tall selections would be useful. Things for us to give to our kids would be nice too.

I think you should limit the written message. The fact that the visual isn’t known to everyone causes people to ask and then link with real people who use this stuff.

Finally – keep it light. A little humor wins. Cuddly works too.

  39. webweaver.pttw Says:

I’d love a tall black spill-proof coffee travel mug with the Firefox logo on it. No words, just the logo. Would be so cool.

Also I agree with fflovahlikeyou who said “A deck of cards with various pop culture website tidbits could be fun. The logo mirrored on the back so that OCD type folks don’t have to keep resorting them on a shuffle if half are upside down because the logo has a defined top and bottom.”

Additionally, either a round or a vertical “bumper sticker” that could be put on the rear fender of a bicycle.

Oh and WD Rothwell’s idea of a large capacity Firefox logo shaped portable USB drive would be excellent.

One last thing – Firefox Frisbees!

  40. Carl Says:

I would love to see a laptop skin for fire fox, a real power show for fire fox!!! cool! (a skin is a sticky laminate material applied to laptops, ipods, xbox and so on such as on decalgirl.com)

  41. Joe Blake Says:

Hmm i think the coolest product would clearly be the firefox logo on a zippo, i would pay good money for that, plus it would be cool for spotting other users at the pub.

  42. chris Says:

I agree to Ina (October 18th). How about this very stylish header on a T-Shirt? But please for both men and woman :)

Another Idea: How about a lanyard keychain?

  43. clint Says:

I’m still in shock that people would want a stuffed animal instead of a coffee mug, or my choice-a Firefox Jersey! Yall definitely need to get a cycling jersey made, cause I ride every day… that would be great press for Firefox!
