Community Spotlight: November

Each month we share the story of Mozilla community member (and they get a $50 gift certificate for their trouble). The November edition of the Community Spotlight features the tale of William, Firefox and his mother:

November

“Hi. My name is William and I would like to share my Firefox story with you. Years ago my family bought a computer, it was fast. We used the “Default Browser” and before you know it, that fast computer, wasn’t so fast anymore. My computer became increasingly slow and that Browser took forever to load. Almost 5 minutes, and it still hadn’t loaded, needless to say I was ready to throw my computer out of the window. I told my friend what happened, and he showed me Firefox. I was hesitant to use it, but eventually I cracked and installed it. I loaded it up. I was amazed, it loaded in less than 10 seconds. I turned to my friend, “What else can this do?” He started to show me all the theme designs I could pick from, and he showed me why it was so much more secure than all the other browsers. I was so happy and amazed at all the things it had that the other browser didn’t have. I showed the rest of my family, and they were so happy I installed such a wonderful program. I laugh, because my 67 year old mother uses Firefox and brags about her super fast internet now. I have been recommending firefox to all my family and friends, and you should all do the same. Thank you Mozilla for making my computer experience so much better.”
