What’s up with SUMO – Nov. 9

The big things this week:

  • The new Knowledge Base will be feature complete on Thursday.
  • We’ll be having a test day on Friday, Nov. 12 from 8am – 5pm PST.
  • We can always use more people answering questions in the support forum.

Here are the notes from the wiki:

Sumo Development

  • Careening toward feature completion.
  • Please file bugs for string changes ASAP so we can get the new strings on Verbatim.
  • Please keep testing and filing bugs.
  • Test Day on Friday.
  • Michael to file a bug that all articles are marked as “for Firefox 4” when imported

Roundtable

  • Disconnecting mobile and desktop {for}
    • David to file a bug to specify that choosing a desktop OS and mobile browser is not possible.
  • What’s up with SUMO? – anything you want to be sure to include?

    Hi:

Why am I seeing the SUMO forums in arabic whenever I click a non-language-specific link to it?

Why am I not receiving email notifications from threads I am subscribed to?

The fact that I need to ask these two questions is keeping me from contributing at all. I mean, I can’t help people if I’m not notified when they reply.

Tiago, you shouldn’t see the forums in Arabic, actually there is no way to localize the forums at all right now, so I’m not sure what exactly you are seeing.

About the missing notifications, that’s odd. Do you have a specific thread that does not send notifications?
